Angus Community Planning
Welcome to the Community Planning Website for Angus
Community Planning is a process which helps public agencies to work together with the community to plan and deliver better services which make a real difference to people's lives.
Here you can find information about who we are, what's happening in your local area and how you can get involved.
You can also see plans and other documents that are relevant to community planning in Angus as well as keeping an eye on how we are doing in the Angus Performs section.
Our Vision
Our Vision is for Angus to be a place where a first class quality of life can be enjoyed by all.
Behind this vision are a set of core values which underpin the work of the partnership:
- Provide excellent public services that are value for money
- Improve public services through partnership working
- Actively engage with communities
- Promote sustainable growth
- Promote fairness and equality.
The Angus Community Plan
The Angus Community Plan and Single Outcome Agreement 2011-2014 (2 MB PDF) (reviewed January 2012), outlines the five priority areas that the partnership will focus on to support the achievement of our vision. It also outlines the twelve outcomes, ie results, which the partnership wishes to achieve in terms of quality oflife and life opportunities for individuals, families and communities within Angus.
These outcomes reflect our local circumstances and priorities but also support and contribute towards the Government's fifteen national outcomes. In order to ensure that we know we are making progress in delivering our outcomes, we have also detailed what we are going to do and how we will measure success for each of our five priority areas.
In addition, we will monitor overall levels of satisfaction with the quality of life in Angus, people's satisfaction with their neighbourhood and general levels of satisfaction with public services. Progress on our performance can be monitored at Angus Performs.
Although our vision for Angus is long term this community plan and single outcome agreement covers the period 2011-14 and will be reviewed annually.
