Arbroath and Area Partnership Information:
Three top priorities for each local area have
been identified and delivered to The top three priorities for the Arbroath and Area Partnership are: Consultants from Scottish Cultural Enterprise have been appointed to undertake a feasibility study into this project. The cost of the study is £25,000 which is being funded by the Community Regeneration Fund. The study is due to be completed in October 2006.
A feasibility study was recently undertaken, the results of which were officially launched on 21 April 2006. The group are now hoping to appoint Committee Members. Funding for the project is estimated to be in the region of £100,000 over three years.
A beach plaque has been erected and a general clean up undertaken. This is to take place quarterly. No funding requirement has been identified as yet. Work with the local High School has been underway and a sponsored litter pick is being planned as a launch for a wider litter project. Match funding is to be made available from the Community Regeneration Fund for the school to provide better litter facilities for pupil’s social area.
