The Angus Community Planning Partnership (ACPP) is a partnership made up of members of the key public service delivery agencies (listed below). The ACPP meets every six weeks to direct community planning in Angus.  The meetings are not public, however minutes taken at the meetings are available below.  Partners agreed to create and jointly-fund a Community Planning Team, based at Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar, to support the work of the Partnership.

The ACPP has set up a number of groups to work in partnership to improve the quality of life of the Angus resident.  These groups operate at an Angus wide level working towards improving the areas economy, improving community learning, making Angus a healthier and safer community in which to live, and protecting and enhancing the quality of the Angus environment.  Community planning is also being developed at a local area level, allowing you to influence the plans for your area.

History of Angus Community Planning Partnership

The Angus Community Planning Steering Group (now known as the Angus Community Planning Partnership) was formed in 1998, bringing together public and voluntary sector agencies to develop a strategic plan for Angus.  A seminar was held in June 1999 to examine the first draft of the Angus Community Plan, which was eventually published in December 2000.

In March 2002, partners agreed to create and jointly-fund a community planning team to take forward the process in Angus.  The team was formed in October 2002 and consists of a Community Planning Manager, four Community Planning Officers, a Rural Partnership Development Officer and Angus Council's Decentralisation Officer.
