Current Angus Environment information:
Background information: Introduction to the Angus Environment Forum The Angus Environment Forum (AEF) is the community planning group responsible for dealing with issues relating to the environment in Angus. From the coast, through the vale of Strathmore, to the Angus Glens; the diverse nature of the natural environment offers something for everyone. The AEF is looking to promote and protect this environment. The AEF was set up to facilitate joint working in relation to the environment. The Forum comprises representatives of Angus Council, Communities Scotland, Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Scottish National Heritage and Scottish Water. One of its key activities is the preparation of a state of the Angus Environment Report. The Environment Forum intends to hold an annual conference focusing on The State of the Angus Environment. The aim is to raise awareness of the importance of safeguarding the environment and indicate the progress made in improving the natural environment in Angus. It will also provide an opportunity for members of the public to discuss environmental issues with representatives of the Forum. |
