The following documents have been
produced by the Angus Community Planning Partnership to ensure the
effective implementation community planning in Angus. To view
archived documents go to archive page. NEW! Angus Community Plan The Angus Community Plan sets out a vision for Angus up to 2012, which emphasises the crucial role of partnership between all of the agencies having responsibilities to Angus and its communities.
An Audit Scotland report, A review of Community Planning in Scotland, was published in June 2006. The review recognises that community planning partnerships have made progress but need to do more to show how their work is improving public services. The report also states that their complex remit makes it difficult for community planning partnerships to achieve their aims and calls on the Scottish Executive to support community planning more effectively. Based on levels of deprivation identified in the
Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation 2004 (SIMD04), the Angus Community
Planning Partnership has been allocated Community Regeneration Funding for
2005-2008. The Partnership's Regeneration Outcome Agreement (ROA) details
proposals for using this and additional 'Community Voices' funding for
involving local communities. |

The Convention Of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) has produced A Guide to the Local Government in Scotland Act 2003 (PDF 246K), setting out the provisions contained in the Act in an easy read format. |
