Forfar and Area Partnership - Background
The Forfar and Area Partnership brought together various members of the community at its first meeting on Tuesday 23 August 2005 and the Partnership held it’s inaugural meeting on 21 February 2006. The overall objective of the Partnership is to encourage representatives of the public, private and voluntary sectors to act together to develop the economic, social and environmental potential of Forfar and surrounding area. The Forfar and Area Partnership aims to make progress towards the agreed priorities of: tackling anti social behaviour; improving transport; improving access to health services for young people; promoting good things achieved in Forfar; improving the physical appearance of Forfar; improving leisure facilities; working together throughout the community; and promoting volunteering.
