Brechin Happy Healthy Communities Initiative Update
Local developments in Brechin with the Angus Healthy Happy Community Project.
The Angus Healthy Happy Community Project in Brechin and the Focus on Alcohol Project outlined the programme for the Experts on the Ground event held on 15 May 2008 in Stracathro Hospital.
This was aimed at range of community members and stakeholders with an interest in use/misuse of alcohol, looking at the local perspective of issues and interests and comparing this with evidence base. This will assist in the identification of actions for improvement and a project team will be established to take this forward.
Learning sessions will also be held with Kirriemuir which is the other project area. Results of a consultation carried out with young people in the area have identified a number of issues to peruse in relation to the effected of alcohol on family life.
