Montrose Partnership East Links Development
Montrose Together met to discuss improving the East Links in Montrose.
Montrose Together continues discussion with local partners including Angus Council, around the development of the East Links area next to the new skatepark development and pavilion.
Possibilities being considered include a statue promoting and commemorating the salmon fishing industry in Montrose as well as possible Mediterranean landscaping to brighten up the area.
A partnership site visit has taken place and those in attendance agreed to pursue the idea of a mountain bike track initially as it was considered that this would fit in well with the skate park and the family theme of the area.
The common good ground appears to be a good layout although a safety audit will be carried out before opening discussion with other organisations operating similar projects, including the Angus Mountain Bike and Tail Association.
