Monifieth in Bloom
As part of the priority to enhance the town centre, the Monifieth in Bloom project was born. Work has been extensive in the town, including enhancements such as planters and hanging baskets in the town centre, regular beach clean-ups, and a graffiti project. All which contributed to a Bronze Award from Scotland in Bloom. An excellent accolade for the efforts of the town.
Building on this work, Monifieth in Bloom 2009 is well under way. The portfolio for the entry to Scotland in Bloom was submitted and judging took place on Wednesday 5 August. Monifieth will have to wait until September 21 to hear the judges verdicts when the winners of the Beautiful Scotland in Bloom awards will be announced at the Beach Ballroom in Aberdeen.
