The event provided a fun-filled family day out with traditional events, pipe bands, Highland Dancing, tug o' war, runnings, cycling, heavy and light field games, heavy horses, dog show, stalls and refreshments.
The games held at the East Links, now in their 31st year , were opened by Colonel Jake Hensman, depute Lord Lieutenant of Angus.
The town's Rose Queen, local schoolgirl Emily Wood, was also awarded her crown during the course of the day.
